My cycle appears to be out of whack - that may have contributed to the migraine I had Monday night through Wednesday morning, but I think stress was also a culprit there.
A vent about CVS pharmacy: I called in a refill Tuesday night, to be ready for pick-up lat night. I went in this afternoon and was told that they didn’t have enough on the shelf to fill it, but that I could call tomorrow at noon and check to see if they have it yet. Now, what I want to know is why didn’t the person filling the prescription (or attempting to) CALL ME and let me know that it would in fact NOT be ready Wednesday night at 7 p.m., as it was supposed to be? And why is a prescription that is called in on a Tuesday still not ready on a Thursday, and possibly won’t be ready even on a Friday? It’s Maxalt, for crying out loud - not exactly a rare drug. Really bad customer service. But what do I expect from a gigantic chain store? I used to go to a privately-owned pharmacy, but the owner/pharmacist eventually retired. I need to find somewhere like that again.

The Santa Ana winds have kicked up something fierce this morning. There are two fires burning in LA County and it is hot and dry outside, even at 9 o’clock in the morning. We’ll see what effect, if any, this has on yours truly. I hope the fires an be contained quickly. Wild fires are always so scary, especially when we have this kind of wind.

Last Thursday I got hit with a rather bad migraine. Actually it came on Wednesday night but got much worse early Thursday morning. I couldn’t figure out why it hit me, as the timing was off, I hadn’t gone off my plan for avoiding triggers, etc. Maxalt helped. The next day, I felt bad again, although it was a slightly different feeling. And then the winds hit. Aha! Big-time pressure change in the weather. It’s been a while since our weather has changed that dramatically that quickly, but I’m certain that that was what triggered this latest headache. And there wasn’t anything I could do about it.
Now it’s Saturday, and I’m feeling pretty good.

Yesterday evening a migraine came on rather quickly. I took a Maxalt and went to bed around 8:30 p.m. Now it’s Friday morning, and I feel OK. *knocks on wood*
Did I guess wrong on the nights to take the Frova? Next month I’m waiting 29 days before I start taking it, rather than 28,and we’ll see what happens.
At least other things have been going well (food, water, exercise, sleep). That has to be helping, or at least making it so things aren’t worse.

It’s Wednesday, and so far I’m doing alright. I didn’t feel very good last night when I went to bed, but the Frova seemed to help. I still felt a little achy this morning but am doing OK this evening. I’ll take the Frova for one more night tonight and hope that I’ve guessed correctly as to when it would be best to take it.
Exercise the past couple of days has been good, but today was less than satisfactory. Oh well. Food and water were good, and despite going to bed on time most nights I’m still feeling pretty wiped out. I don’t think I’m sleeping well, which can become a bad cycle. And my cat takes over my pillow, which makes me sleep funny and throws my neck out of whack.

Next week will be four weeks from the last hard week, so I’m doing all I can to keep things at an even keel. I need to remember to take the Frova starting maybe Monday evening. Food;s been good, water’s been good, exercise has been good, sleep’s been good. So I’m doing basically all I can on my end to stay in control of things.

After Wednesday’s slip, Thursday and Friday were better. I went back to limiting the coffee in the morning and made sure to have a snack both mornings and drink my water. At lunch I’m trying to make sure half my plate is salad and fruit, leaving the rest for a little bit of protein and a little bit of bread/pasta. I feel pretty good.
Off to do some yard work this morning…
