Change in weather?

The weather has been weird lately - hot one day, cooler the next, foggy the day after that.  Add to that the fact that where I work is often 20+ degrees hotter and my poor body can’t seem to adapt.  I don’t know if any of that led to the migraine that came on last night, but it seems likely.  I tried going to bed but it got steadily worse, so I got up around 10 p.m. to take a frova.  I felt better this morning, but I was afraid to move when I first woke up.  Often, when I wake up, I feel fine.  Or, more specifically, I don’t feel anything.  But within a couple of minutes, and after I start to move, if the headache is still there it comes roaring back.  So I try to make those blissful seconds and minutes of feeling nothing stretch out for as long as possible.  I’m basically feeling alright today.

Wow, I’m sorry your headaches are so horrible. You seem to be affected by so many things!!

Since I started taking 50mg of topamax daily and switched to a vegan diet at about the same time, I’m not sure which is helping more - maybe it’s the combo? But I’ve only had one attempted migraine in almost two months. Have you tried cutting out dairy?

*hugs* I hope you feel better soon…it would be nice if the weather would cooperate. ;)

I tried cutting out dairy a year or two ago. I think I went for about six weeks but never really noticed any difference in how I felt. Maybe I didn’t give it long enough? I don’t know.

Weather and hormones are my two biggest triggers, with stress/tension being right up there. As far as I can tell, food triggers don’t seem to be my problem. Although someday, maybe I’ll try to do an elimination diet and really see how that goes. But it is so terribly extreme, and in my heart of hearts I know my hormones play a huge role in my headaches.

I’m so happy to hear you’ve been feeling so good!! :) That is truly wonderful news.
