Notes From Under the House

We went to a community dance party at the OC Performing Artscenter last night. Tango Buenos Aires had a dance performance, but prior to the show, the plaza hosted a free for all where two professional dancers taught us how to do the mamba and to tango. It was fun, but hard. Learning to do the steps took at lot of practice and of course we still didn’t get it. But it was fun making mistakes with all the other couples. Once that music started playing, we totally got into it, and everyone was trying to show everyone else how to do it. Being out on the plaza it was pretty chilly at first, but we all ended up having to slowly peel our clothes off having worked ourselves up into a nice sultry sweat.  When we came home, we were practicing on the driveway.  We want to go back for more.  

I woke up this morning to the news that Norman Mailer has passed.
