Greetings From Dreamville

Wednesday, February 20th, 2008

I’m trying to remember this dream I had this morning before I forget it.  I was walking down a road where there were a few cars going by.  It was very sunny, but not hot and there were some trees.  I don’t know how long I had been walking but I wanted to wash my hands.  I saw a mechanic’s shop and a new-looking old model light blue car parked up on the curb.  In front of the car was a big sink with two levels. On the first level was a black bar of mechanic’s soap and on the second level was a white bar of regular soap.  I thought the mechanic’s soap would do a better job of cleaning my hands since it’s supposed to handle heavy duty dirt and my hands felt dirty.  Instead, the soap completely covered my fingers with black grease.  I remember thinking, darn, I wanted to paint my fingernails tonight.  I walked a couple of steps away from the sink where there was a clean white towel hanging from a dispenser contraption.  I grabbed the towel and started wiping my hands vigorously and I could see the tips of my fingernails were becoming clean.  Still wiping my hands, I noticed other people for the first time standing across the street on the corner.  Traffic had become heavy by then, and I remember having to wait for traffic from both directions before I was able to cross the road.
